The save file made before does not have any idea what you actually do in the game, until saving process to THAT specific file has happened again. If you have a hard save, then you can always just remove content and load the save prior of installing the mod. Game saves only store content that was stored to them by actual saving process. That said, it is always best to do a hard save first. Those plugins shouldn't have any other form data in them.īasically, direct texture replacement mods are among those few mod types that do not actually risk messing up the game somehow. Any archive requires respective plugin, or game does not load them. esl files, then they usually only exist to load. They use same file names than in original archives, so removing them just causes game to load the original ones. They do not scripts and they do not add anything in to the wold. Pure texture replacements do not break save files.
